I often find plain spaghetti a little bit of a boring dish, even when had with stew. So here I’ll cook with you a less boring spaghetti dish. Enjoy!
Simple spaghetti mix
- Cooking oil
- 1 onion
- 1 tomato
- Black pepper
1.Start by putting your amount of spaghetti in already boiling water in a sufuria.
2.Leave to cook for 15 minutes, adding a teaspoon of salt early in the cooking.
3.When completed, drain the water and run cold water through the spaghetti. This prevents it from clumping up.
4.Chop your onion into small pieces and put to fry with little oil on relatively low heat. Let simmer for about 5 minutes, as you cut your tomato also into small pieces.
5.When the onions are turning colour, increase heat and add the tomatoes and a dash of black pepper and stir repeatedly for 5 minutes.
6.If, on tasting the boiled spaghetti, the salt is not enough, add enough to taste to the simmering mixture.
7.When the contents of the sufuria seem to be making a paste(keep stirring to stop it from sticking to the bottom of the sufuria), reduce the heat and add your boiled spaghetti and stir to mix.
8.Mix repeatedly for 3 minutes then turn off your cooker.
