Words| It’s alright, there’s nothing wrong with that

By Esther Adwets

It’s alright if it hurts,
Alright to shed a tear,
It’s alright, if you feel like its bleeding inside of you.
It’s alright, if you talk to me,
It’s alright. It’s fine, I will be your rock,I will cry with you,because it’s fine,alright,in other words.

It’s alright if he didn’t keep his promise,
It’s alright, you didn’t make it through to the next class, you failed the exams.
It’s alright, I failed too, and he lied to me too.
It’s alright, he didn’t come home last night and it’s fine he didn’t apologise for shouting and hurting you
It’s alright, you feared to ask mum for a few coins for your upkeep, she had none, its fine.
Because its fine,alright,in other words.

It’s alright that you don’t want to tell me
It’s alright that you feel wasted
Well, it alright, it’s fine, there’s totally nothing wrong with that.

Only that it’s not alright to refuse to wipe those tears
It’s not alright to break everything
It’s not alright if you don’t tell me forever.

It’s alright to write and make no sense,it’s fine, because it’s alright that I’m telling you already.
